Lukhoi and Ningoleima settle down in a small hilly village near the Indo-Myanmar international border with their only son Thanil, who is in the Indian Army posted in Kashmir. The Myanmarese army torture and loot the villagers very often and even encroach into the Indian territories by shifting boundary pillars stealthily. The poor villagers expect Indian army to protect the hamlet. Lukhoi dies when Myanmarese army torture the villagers. Indian Army arrives at the village the next day and Ningoleima and villagers were happy with the hope that they would be given protection. However, Indian Army came to the border village to bring home the dead body of her only son Thanil, who was killed in the cross border encounter in Kashmir.
