Leishabee Amana (2001)

Rajesh, a villager, came to Imphal and he stayed at a rented room of lbeni Devi, a widow. She had a son Raghu, and a daughter, Roma. One day, lbeni had to leave home to tend to her ailing sister. Roma was like a tomboy, and she did not know how to cook. She used to steal food from Rajesh's room. He caught her red-handed and rebuked her. Since she had now to go without food, Roma fell ill. Rajesh looked after her. Love blossomed between the two. Charan loved Roma, but he could not express his love for her. He was heart broken when he realised she loved somebody else. Raghu disliked putting up a man in their house, and he forced Rajesh to leave. Roma in the meanwhile was pregnant and she soon gave birth. Raghu called Rajesh to his home and handed him the baby, warning him never to return. Raghu knocked down a girl named Chandani, and he had to treat her for her injuries. Chandani taught Raghu a hard lesson, reminding him that one should not have ego and a man should be gentle and noble minded. Raghu came to his senses and he fell in love with Chandani. He forgave Roma and Rajesh. Raghu made an appointment with Chandani to confess his love for her. On the way, Raghu was waylaid by Dina, his enemy. They had a quarrel and Dina struck him with a knife into Raghu. Chandani rushed to the spot on hearing of Raghu's injury, but she was greeted by the soulless body of Raghu.
