Synopsis
Dwijen is a lover of arts. He lost his love, Manorama, while he was studying outside. Depressed in sorrow, he spent some time away from home. He learn from his friend Dr. Suren of sorrowful life of his widow sister Radhe, and of the sufferings of his niece Nirmala and nephew Sheetal. Dwijen realised his selfishness. Thereafter he sacrificed everything to make life worthy for his sister and her children. Reaching manhood, Sheetal felt in love with Swarnalata. Ashalata, Swarnalata's elder sister, by a twist of fate admired Sheetal in her heart. Mono, realising the love between Sheetal and Swarnalata, feared it would have undesirable reaction from their society and she resolved to form a barrier between the two lovers. Ashalata, on realising the bond between Sheetal and Swarnalata, forsook her own love and went out of her way to help the two lovers. Nirmala, a heart patient, suffered in silence for the shake of her husband Sharat. Dwijen, love lore and with a spirit of true sacrifice, left this world with a smile in his heart.
