Storyline
The story revolves around two families - an orthodox Brahmin family which thinks itself as above everybody else, and a poor Meitei family of three, a widow and her two children, Mohan and Ibemma. Radha, the Brahmin girl meets Mohan in an accident. It is love at first sight for the two. Kesho, a wealthys Brahmin youth likes Radha and he cajoled Radha's parents. They have no objection in giving Radha to Kesho. But Radha detest Kesho. Kesho informs Radha's parents that she is in love with Mohan. They are outraged. They consider it a sacrilege for a Brahmin girl to marry a Meitei boy of a lower caste. Radha's parents decide to put her in confinement. Radha manages to escape from her home and elope with Mohan. The police is informed, and she is brought back. Mohan tries to persuade Radha to forget him, but she refuses. She loves him, and it is all that matters. They decide to run away far from home. They escape to Guwahati. Radha's parents suffer from the agony of losing their daughter, and come to their senses that there is no difference between man and man, caste and creed, rich or poor in love.
