Biography

Jiban Heisnamba is a Science graduate and by profession, he is a film writer, director and producer. Under the banner of Nelson Films, Jiban has directed 2 feature films, Ima Lakhini and Eishu Nupini. He also directed 3 video films Lupa Ani, C.I.D. Inspector and Abok Natte lmani. He has produced 4 telefilms for Doordarshan, Imphal Kendra, namely, Lambisida, Hingshige Karamna, Lambi and lral. An approved scriptwriter for Doordarshan, All India Radio and the Song & Drama Division, Govt of India, Jiban is recognised by the National Institute of Performing Art, New Delhi as a writer, director and producer of Child Theatre. He has also written several plays for Sumang Leela and proscenium theatre.
